Tails & Tales - Indoor Sculpture Trail

A delightful new indoor sculpture trail inspired by familiar sayings – hidden throughout the Castle’s rooms.

Wander through Bamburgh Castle and discover a trail of surprising, theatrical installations inspired by well-known idioms and phrases. From a tiger leaping through flaming hoops and a proud peacock in full display, to curious woodland creatures, balancing acts and playful puppetry, each room reveals a new scene packed with character, craft and humour.

Created by Northumbrian artist Mandy Bryson and inspired by Bamburgh’s rich history, nature and storytelling, this playful trail is packed with charm, surprises and plenty to spot along the way.

The session lasts around 2 hours, will take place in the magnificent King’s Hall and includes all materials to create your wreath and includes admission to the castle as well as a voucher to redeem for a hot drink in our cafe after the session has finished.
