Festive Tales at Woodhorn Museum

Step into the magic of Christmas with Festive Tales – a heartwarming experience where children can meet Father Christmas and share their Christmas wishes, and take home an early gift.

Each group session includes a cosy festive story time, the chance to have your photograph taken with Father Christmas, and an early Christmas gift for each child.

You can also have a go at the family festive art activities in the Pop-Up Ashington Group Hut between 12-3pm.

Festive Tales begins on Saturday 5 December 2026 and continues every weekend throughout December, with extra sessions on Monday 21, Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23, and Thursday 24 December before Father Christmas has to leave Woodhorn to deliver presents around the world.

Relaxed sessions are also available each day at 3pm for families who would benefit from a more informal and quieter experience.
