1940s War Weekend

We're excited to announce that across the May Bank Holiday from 23rd - 25th May 2026 (between 10am-4pm) we will be hosting a 1940s War Weekend, for the second year running, a FREE event for you to attend.

The much-loved annual event promises a packed programme of lively entertainment and interactive experiences for all ages, with visitors encouraged to dust off their tea dresses, braces and flat caps, if they wish, and join in the fun. Prizes are available for best dressed!

Guests can expect:
*Live 1940s style music all day
*Vintage vehicles and displays
*Re-enactments and period costumes
*Gun firing show at 11am & battle re-enactment at 2pm
*Themed food, shopping and sweet treats

This is a FREE event for all visitors! It is a chance to see, hear and feel what life was like in Britain during the war. So whether you're looking to learn a bit more about history, or just looking for a great family day out, there's something for everyone!
