2 night break by the sea

keithlindsey, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
my wife and i have had a number of one and two night breaks in the bamburgh castle inn located overlooking the picturesque seahouses harbour. the recently refurbished rooms are to a high standard. ( ask for a sea view room when booking) .The bar and restaurant are very busy and it is best to reserve a table in the evening for dining. The food is good and served quickly even in the busy periods. The panoramic restaurant windows look out onto the harbour and . fishing boats as well as the fleet of boats that run trips to the Farne islands. The staff are cheery and friendly and eager to please.

Definitely recommend eating here. Big windows to view harbour

Dog friendly 🐶

Love it here at the BCI not only do they do the best fish and chips and huge portions at that but also they have quite a big dog area and the dogs are always made to feel welcome which is a big plus for us!!!!! Our two boys are usually flat out from walking so usually just spark out on the floor but the staff are always happy to move round them and pay them attention!!! Lovely busy pub that we shall continue to visit every time we are up here!!

Quick drink

Lovely place. We didn't eat here but we stopped off for a quick drink. I have to say that I felt a little uncomfortable as all the tables were really set up for food and there wasn't enough areas of seating for a quick relaxing drink. It was nice and cheap though for a lovely pint of Stella

Nice food

It was a nice restaurant and hotel, lovely service and people and nice food. We mainly had fish and chips and scampi which was good but not great, considering they're next to the sea. Nice atmosphere and nice people.

Bamburgh Castle Inn replied: Thank you for leaving this review, so pleased you have enjoyed your time with us and we appreciate your kind words. Sorry to hear about the scampi - we would have happily changed this for you. We do hope to see you again in the near future.
