We are pleased to offer guests fishing on the River Tweed, beautiful riverside walks, lovely to enjoy with your dog if staying in one of our dog-friendly cottages. We have a hard surface tennis court to get a good bit of family competition going!
Our nearest lovely sandy beaches are only a 10-minute drive, and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is 15-minutes drive. Bamburgh, The Farne Islands and all the beautiful beaches of the Northumberland coast Embleton, Low Newton-by-the-Sea and Warkworth to name but a few are all accessible from West Ord.
Howick Gardens near Craster is another great day out, and you can come home with some famous "Craster Kippers" for your tea.
Coldstream, Kelso, Melrose, Jedburgh, Hawick and Galashiels are all within a one-hour drive. Get to Edinburgh or Newcastle on the train from Berwick in 45 minutes. Alnwick, with it's ancient castle and award winning gardens, is just 30 miles from us and the lovely walks, hidden valleys and magical picnic spots of the Cheviot Hills.
