Perfect stay!

beads85, Cheshire, United Kingdom
Recently spent three nights here with friends and can't say how impressed I was! It's got to be one of the best bunkhouses I've ever stayed in, with very modern facilities! Kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are all very clean and well maintained. Plus having access to a sauna is an added bonus! It's located in a fantastic area, perfect for hiking/mountain biking, amongst anything else outdoors activity based! Keep up the great work guys and thanks for a great stay!

A very tranquil place

We hired one of the self catering bothys for the seven of us plus our dog, it was beautiful weather and we had a lovely time exploring the area, we cooked in the little kitchen and ate at the nice for all of us which was great. Although it is a relatively small space for seven people to share, having the large glass wall looking out over the stunning landscape gives a very open feel, it is really beautifully designed and worked well for us.

Fantastic accommodation, fully equipped with beautiful views

We have just spent an amazing weekend at Tarset Tor with family & friends celebrating my husbands 50th birthday. Fantastic accommodation, fully equipped with beautiful views. Highly recommend to all. A great base to explore the surrounding area. So much to do with the kids. Keilder Water is an absolute must! Many thanks to Rob the owner for making us feel so welcome & Juliana our friend for finding it!! ☀️😎💕

Top Notch - we all loved it! 10 **********

Recently stayed at Tarset Tor with a stag/hen group of around 20. The hosts made our trip, with a friendly welcome and banterous conversation, then left us to our own devices. Any other information we needed was included in a folder. Personally i stayed in one of the Bothys which was lovely, no need to use the heating as it was a hot sunny weekend. The kitchen facilities were great, with everything you could need. Toilets and showers too. Cant express how great it was, we are already talking about another get together at Tarset Tor next year. Great little sauna with a window to look out into the countryside too. HIGHLY recommend to large groups doing activities around the area. The couple to be even brought their dog Baxter who had the weekend of his life! Thanks Rob and Claire for having us! Hope to see you soon :)

A prize winning experience

After seeing a competition for a weekend stay at Tarset Tor advertised on face book I decided to throw my name into the hat and amazingly I won. Now if like me, you have not really been a big camping person and the last time I went to a bunk house /bothy was whilst on a school trip (which left memories of colditz). Then prepare to be shocked. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. The location and scenery are beautiful and the bothys have been built to be sympathetic with it and eco friendly. We stayed in bothy 1 which sleeps eight people comfortably and still has room to swing a cat. Inside there is everything you could possibly want, from a pot of tea to wifi for your stroppy teenagers and outside room for everyone , aplay area for kids, a bbq/ firepit for dads and a quiet place for mum to watch over it all with a G and T. It really is a wonderful place for all, from family get togethers, hendos or just passing through this place will send you back refreshed with a renewed thinking of bothy bunkhouses. I would like to thank the owners CLaire and Rob Cocker for a wonderful experience and for being fantastic hosts, They really have got it right. Thanks
