Quiet and relaxing.

terripet, Skipton, United Kingdom
What a lovely find. We could only stay for 2 nights on this occasion, but it was so peaceful and relaxing. Unfortunately the weather wasn't with us, but the welcome we received was so warm it didn't matter. Breakfast was delicious, freshly grown fruit in abundance, vast cereal choice and a wonderful freshly cooked English breakfast. Rye Hill Farm is the ideal base for exploring the Hexham area and Hadrians wall. 2 lovely pubs near by to enjoy a hearty evening meal, and excellent accommodation and food offered for your relaxing stay.

Long Weekend Break

Denise T, Whitley Bay, United Kingdom
We stayed in the self catering cottage for 3 nights whilst attending my son’s wedding at Slaley Hall which is only 3 miles from Rye Hill Farm, so it was very convenient. The cottage is excellent, very clean, spacious, cosy, well equipped, warm and comfortable, honestly it was so relaxing! The owner, Elizabeth is very friendly and welcoming and even provided lovely homemade biscuits for us. There is plenty to see on the farm, sheep, lambs, ponies, chickens, 3 lovely dogs and a couple of cats, all very friendly too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return, it has restored my faith in self catering cottages which has been sorely tested in previous holidays albeit quite a few years ago. The Travellers Rest pub is just down the road (about 1 mile) which we can thoroughly recommend for meals too, especially the Sunday Lunch.

Just the most beautiful surroundings, out in the countryside. Lovely farm house and owned by a wonderful lady who is very accommodating and such a pleasure. Very clean room, and lovely breakfast. Highly recommended. We really enjoyed our stay.

Weekend away

We really enjoyed our stay at Rye Hill Farm this weekend. A brilliant host who was very welcoming and made our stay the best she could and is very passionate about her business. The room was lovely and cosy for a 2 night stay and quiet weekend away. Shame we were too busy and didn’t get a chance to try the food. We would happily stay again! 😀

Great Location

Janice N, Sandbach, United Kingdom
Booked to stay overnight as visiting friends in the area. Great location in the countryside, fantastic views. Stayed in a converted barn, greeted by a lovely lady who showed me to my room, lovely clean room with tea and coffee facilities, ensuite facilities. Exceptionally clean and light room, quiet and relaxing. A couple of pubs down the road to sample for dinner. Only about 4 miles to Hexham, such friendly people, a great place to visit.
