We have just returned home from a fabulous weekend here. we highly recommend this place for beautifully clean accommodation, well kept beautiful grounds with loads to do ... Extra 5 stars for being so kid friendly, we and our kids absolutely love it, it's like a home away from home. Alun And Chris, thank you for doing everything u could ensuring a most enjoyable and relaxing time for us all. We hope we can visit again soon.

Perfect in every way

We spent a wonderful week in Quarry House with our 6 year old and 15 month old and what a fantastic time we had. The cottage was outstanding, the grounds beautiful, the facilities perfect, the views breath-taking.... it was superb. It was hard to justify leaving the site for trips out as there was so much to see and do on our own doorstep. Our daughter loved exploring in the woods before enjoying the 'sausage sizzle' bbq in the forest. The pool was a particular highlight and a wander down to nearby Meg's Lake was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. We hope to return to Beacon Hill with grandparents next time. It really is a special place. Lots of places to visit nearby too without spending too long in the car. Stunning coastlines, castles and strawberry picking kept us busy. Can't fault the place at all. We can't wait to go back.

What a phenomenal place

writtengems,
Well, we just had the most fantastic time. This place is pure luxury - we had 3 cottages (Wood, Ash and Beacon Hill) and 2 of the hideaways. Each had their individual charm - log burners, coffee machines, stacks of lovely old books, charming furniture. Every place has been done out with such attention to detail and care. Alun and Chris’ hospitality was second to none - wine and cake on arrival, ping pong balls on demand - they went out of their way to make our stay very special. The views are sensational. The facilities are brilliant - spa, swimming pool, tennis courts, games room (the older kids disappeared off here every night and played for hours on ice hockey, snooker, table tennis etc.). One night, we had a fire/BBQ in the woods - this was just lovely. There is a private lake which is an incredible place to fish for tadpoles, have a picnic or a bbq on the fire pit, or just to walk around. We explored beautiful Northumberland during our stay - lots close by: Cragside House (National Trust), Alnwick Castle etc. I could not recommend this place highly enough.

Fantastic family time

We just had the most lovely week at Beacon Hill with three generations of our family together. Everything was perfect and so well run. Alun and his family were so helpful and even spent time finding my sons lost mobile phone and posting it to us. The views were beautiful and we loved having a fire cooking in the woods one evening. I’ve been recommending this place to everyone I know since we got back. It really is the best place to go for a family get together and to relax and have fun. There is something to do for everyone.

Wonderful, romantic night away in Bluegrass Shepherd's Hut with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Panoramic views, beautifully and comfortably furnished with the special touches that make all the difference. Highly recommend.
