English Heritage sites - The next phase of re-opening

This is, of course, just the first step, and we’re excited to begin our next phase of reopening. On Saturday 4 July around 45 more sites will open their doors including Housesteads Roman Fort, Corbridge Roman Town, Chesters Roman Fort, Birdoswald Roman Fort, Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens, Brinkburn Priory, Tynemouth Priory and Aydon Castle– you can book your visit now.

All visits must be booked in advance, and you’ll need to show your booking confirmation and Membership card when you arrive. Please do only book if you’re sure you’re able to make the time and date of your booking.

We hope to have most of our sites open again by August, and we’ll confirm this is soon as we can.

In the meantime, don’t forget that many free-to-enter sites are already open to visit, with no need to book.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
