Lindisfarne Festival Announce Further Acts & Entertainment

A new music and creative arts marquee based festival for over 18s taking place on Beal Farm Northumberland this September 4th - 6th has revealed further acts to its already strong line-up of local and internationally renowned artists. New acts include Hyde & Beast, King Bees and Mixmaster Morris. Northern poet, comedian, writer (and ex resident poet at Glastonbury), Kate Fox will also be showcasing her talents in the Jibba Jabba poetry tent.

Headliners for the festival include Public Service Broadcasting, Craig Charles, Reverend & The Makers, Smoove and Turrell and The Skints.

The announcement of new acts come ahead of this year’s sell out Glastonbury Festival which takes place between 24th - 28th June.

Conleth Maenpaa, Owner of Nokomis and Bor Events and Founder of Lindisfarne Festival commented:

“We are delighted to add further acts to our already strong line-up, many of whom are also playing at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, Nadine Shah, DJ Yoda, Shields, JFB,  Baghdaddies, Ghetto Funk Allstars and Mr Tooley to name but a few.  It is great to be able to offer such an enviable range of talent to the North East crowds at Lindisfarne Festival. We have a slice of Glastonbury right here in our back yard.”

Conleth Maenpaa added:

“We are really excited about the festival and have been working hard to create something special that we hope will become part of the fabric of the North East for years to come. We are pleased to confirm a variety of great entertainment including a silent disco, alternative therapies, jibba jabba poetry tent, Tibetan monks, delicious local food, a real ale bar, art installations, street performers, yoga and meditation, camping, bonfires and much more. From sight, sound to taste, we want this to be a truly experiential festival that people won’t forget.”

Conleth said:

“With only 2000 tickets on sale at this year’s Lindisfarne Festival, we urge people to buy their tickets soon. It is strange to think that the first ever Glastonbury started back in 1970 with just 1500 tickets and now draws a crowd close to 200,000. Will you be able to say you were at the first ever Lindisfarne Festival? We hope so! ”

Enveloped in beautiful Northumberland countryside what makes this festival truly magical is also the stunning location overlooking Holy Island. Set on Beal Farm in Northumberland which won the coveted Beautiful Farm Awards, Most Beautiful Farm in the UK 2009-2010, the views certainly won’t disappoint nor will the opportunity to sleep under the stars.

Tickets which include camping are available to buy online at £78 for the weekend or £50 for the Saturday via  It is recommended to book early to avoid disappointment as tickets are limited this year.
