Sir Matthew Pinsent stays at Pot A Doodle Do

There was great excitement this week at Pot a Doodle Do Wigwam Village when the great Olympic Gold Medal Winner Sir Matthew Pinsent and his family came to stay for a short break. He and his wife and three children, twin boys and a girl stayed at Pot a Doodle Do in a luxury ensuite wigwam overlooking the beautiful North Northumberland coast and Tweed estuary.

They all enjoyed their glamping break very much. They enjoyed travelling around the area and visited Bamburgh Castle and then Matthew enjoyed cooking the family’s tea on the camp fire in the evening.

When asked why they chose Pot a Doodle Do Wigwam Village as their glamping destination Matthew said “we wanted to be in this locality in order to visit friends and relatives and Pot a Doodle Do was the ideal place for us to stay for our short break before heading further North”. Mrs Pinsent stated that she thought all the facilities at Pot a Doodle Do were fantastic and the children had all enjoyed themselves both on site playing with other children and down at the beach searching in rock pools.

Christine Whiteford owner of Pot a Doodle Do said “we were absolutely delighted and honoured that Sir Matthew and his family had chosen our site for a break in North Northumberland.  Sir Matthew is very much a family man and seemed to enjoy “getting back to basics” glamping with his wife and children. I hope that the good weather continues for them as they head further North.  It was a pleasure to have them on site”
