From the outside, The Pheasant Inn is a picture postcard Northumberland Country Inn. Inside, it has a warm country charm and homely atmosphere, with open fires, exposed stone walls, oak beams, traditional bar and an eclectic mix of historic Northumberland memorabilia.
Over a quarter of a century later, we are still welcoming people from every corner of the globe, fishermen, cyclists, walkers, families and people just passing through in need of a relaxing escape. The bars and dining room were carefully refurbished and 8 en-suite bedrooms developed in the adjoining barn and hayloft. All of our food is freshly prepared and cooked from scratch, and our black board menu changes to stay in tune with seasonal product.
The Pheasant Inn can be found nestled in the Northumberland countryside, 20 miles north-west of Hexham and just 1 mile south-east of Kielder Water. With easy access to the A68 from Corbridge to Jedburgh, it provides a perfect place to stay and explore the Northumberland National Park, Hadrian’s Wall, North East England and the Scottish Borders.
The 8 en-suite bed and breakfast rooms made up of 4 double rooms, 3 twin rooms and 1 family room which sleeps 4/5. The guest rooms are tastefully decorated, and each have a shower en-suite included an in 2016 we opened Garden Cottage.
Garden Cottage is situated in a quiet spot close to the Pheasant Inn, in Stannersburn, Northumberland.
Recently renovated to an extremely high standard, the cottage is spacious, warm and welcoming - a charming countryside retreat for guests visiting Northumberland and the surrounding areas.
