Home away from home

louis_on_the_road, London, United Kingdom
We walked from Newcastle to the Hadrians Hotel and quite needed to be pampered after the 48k walk. Needless to say the hotel, dinner and breakfast staff absolutely took care of us. We had an absolutely lovely dinner, cosy room with a lovely view in the morning, lovely cooked breakfast and we asked for a pack lunch too. Staff kept offering us tea and couldn’t have been happier with the location.

Nice hotel, not verynice service and staff

Steve S, Leeds
Stayed for 2 nights. Room was very comfortable with great views over thhe hills. I was the only one staying in the hotel but unfortunately my room never got cleaned, towels not taken away, dirty cups and bins left. I spoke with one of the girls who threw me some milk and tea in the room and emptied the bin butleft the dirty towels and gave me strange looks when i asked for the sugar the be replenished. because of . that i cant recommend this hotel.

An Autumn break

Seasonedtravellers50, Manchester, United Kingdom
We recently stayed here for four nights to use as a base for visiting relatives and walking on Hadrian's Wall. The hotel rooms appear to have had refurbishment and our room in the eaves was nicely decorated and very clean. It was on the small side but it was airy due to roof windows in both the room and the ensuite. There was no problem storing our clothing for a few days but this could be problematic for a longer stay. Breakfast was chosen before 9 pm for the the following day and was very good, being cooked to order. We ate twice in the evening and were pleased with the quality and quantity of the food on both occasions. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We were, however, somewhat disappointed by the furniture in the restaurant area, which is in need of replacement. The lounge is a better place to eat and is far more cosy. The local beers are well worth sampling from the bar. The position of the hotel is ideal, being a ten minute drive from Hexham and just a few minutes to Chesters Fort on Hadrian's Wall. We shall definitely return.
