Bradley Gardens was originally built in 1749 as the vegetable garden for nearby Bradley Hall and by the 1900 was being used in the war effort to grow vegetables and being managed by the land girls. In the 1980s the garden was developed and turned into a garden nursery and pleasure garden with the centre piece of the gardens being the 1850s Richardson Glasshouse which now runs as Bradley’s Glasshouse café. Run by Head chef Barry Forster the café serves up local and seasonal produce 12 months of the year. Bradley also has a garden nursery, ladies accessory store, gift shop and large Neptune Interiors store.
Bradley Gardens is a very unique visitor attraction offering an oasis just 9 miles outside of Newcastle upon Tyne, offering its visitors quality shopping and food experience it truly is the "Hidden gem of the Tyne valley"
