Located in the hamlet of Humbleton, near Wooler, on the border of the Northumberland National Park is Homildon Cottage, providing incredible accommodation for families or a group of friends. Sleeping up to eight guests in four bedrooms, it is an extremely attractive, traditional cottage dating back to the early 1800s. Nestled in a secluded hollow, it provides a sense of isolation, whilst still being within easy reach of local amenities. Perfect for those wanting to explore their surroundings, a bridleway leads from the door into the National Park and St Cuthbert’s Way.

On the ground floor is a fully fitted kitchen, with all the appliances you could need, and a large farmhouse table, perfect for entertaining. The lounge has comfy sofas and a vintage wood burning stove, perfect for relaxing in the evening. There is also a conservatory and a study. The master bedroom has an en-suite, and there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The fourth bedroom with double bed, is up a short staircase, above the kitchen.

Outside, there is a grassy garden area with herbaceous borders looking out onto historic Humbleton Hill, a decked area with barbecue and garden furniture, a small summerhouse gazebo, converted stable to store outside gear, and neighbouring wooded wetland and an unfenced pond which attracts a wealth or birds and wildlife.

The attention to detail in this holiday home is second to none, offering guests a high level of comfort in a relaxed homely atmosphere in what can only be described as a truly spectacular part of the country. Homildon Cottage also accepts up to three dogs, meaning no one has to be left behind.
