This year is the 180th anniversary of the Grace Darling rescue. You can win a free trip for two people on the Golden Gate, the only boat allowed to land on Longstone Island, to visit Grace Darling’s bedroom in the Longstone lighthouse with Lighthouse Keeper George Shiel.
Look out of the same window that Grace did on the morning of September 7th 1838 when she saw the wreck of the Forfarshire below.
You will trace the journey of the rescue onboard the Golden Gate and on landing on the island you will be taken into the lighthouse for a personal tour and shown aspects of the Lighthouse and Graces life not normally shown to the public.
Only one entry per person.
Applicants must be 18 years or over.
