With 30 pitches and 6 caravan pitches The Boe Rigg is the perfect getaway location. Situated just outside Bellingham with its friendly pubs and plenty of shops. Located just inside the Northumberland National park & the Dark Skies Park, our site is relaxed and peaceful. Easy access to Kielder Forest & Water even the sandy beaches are just over an hour away. All pitches have stand pipe and electric hook up with another area within the trees and a burn kept for the wild camp experience. Camp fires, barbeques are permitted we ask only that you are sensible and give regard to you neighbours, our chefs will even put together BBQ packs for you containing meats or fish
Onsite restaurant - Café - Bistro.......Our chefs have quite a reputation in the area for producing a range of fantastic meals and flavours. Using locally sauced produce where ever we can we offer a range of meals to satisfy any appetite. The cafe is open from 8am in peak season offering everything from breakfasts to just a good old cuppa. When breakfast ends at 10 the cafe continues serving everything from scones and cakes to lighter snacks & sandwiches, or if you prefer our full evening menu is available. We continue to serve throughout the evening, last orders at 9pm and close at 10pm.
Arrival and car parking facilities We have four spaces for new arrivals plus two designated parking spaces for disabled people at the main building, surplus parking for guests and visitors are 30 meters from the main building .
Reception is within the main Building
Access to the reception is step-free with a slope onto a pavement of natural stone. There is a 6m long path with a gradient of approximately 1:12 to the front of reception without handrails. The kerb edge is not well identified. There is level access at the entrance. The door has a grab handle and is all glass. The reception area is within the main restaurant. The counter height is 900mm, with no lowered section, and is not currently fitted with a hearing induction loop system.

Public areas of the site
The site is uneven with a rough road, . Both pedestrians and vehicles use this road and there is access to farm tractors and machinery along the access road.
The male, female and accessible facilities are within the main building which also contains laundry and drying room. Toilets and showers have doors which are kept unlocked. Internally they have none slip floors. There are privacy cubicles with washbasins in each of the single sex facilities. There is an accessible toilet cubicle located in the restaurant area, which is not accessible between 10pm and 8am, 1200mm wide and handrails to both sides. However, there are no contrasting surfaces. The door is outward-opening with a flush threshold. The room is 2100mm wide x 2500mm deep, with a none slip floor. The WC and washbasin layout are to ADM standards, and there is a lever mixer tap at the washbasin. An alarm system is provided but pull cord does not extend to the floor. Other facilities
The bar & lounge area is next to the restaurant. The approach route is via an open arch. There is a step down at the entrance door to the outside, which is 760mm wide, the door opens outwards hinged on the left. The room is 8000mm by 3500mm, stairs lead to a mezzanine floor area. There is a laundry area is next to the WC block off a covered area. Level access. The room has adequate space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre. The sinks are 900mm high with knee recess, but they do not have lever taps. There are top-loading washing machines and front-loading tumble dryers. The coin slots are at 1050mm height. The iron and its coin slot are mounted at 1350mm height. Sinks are at 900mm height without a kneehole space, and the taps are single twist type.

A Fire Risk Assessment has been undertaken in line with the current regulations. Fire assembly points are clearly signed and positioned away from buildings, and a Fire Action plan is displayed at each Fire assembly point and in Reception. The policy and procedures for Fire Safety and Fire Fighting equipment are regularly monitored by wardens and Regional Managers. No mobile reception is available within the main building due to the zinc roof. The reception for mobile phones is limited to Orange/EE.
