A little gem!

natspen, Lossiemouth, United Kingdom
We booked this late minute after searching every site for somewhere around this area which is half way for all the family to meet. We camped on the main field and had a great location pitched together, when booking they were most helpful with all our questions! Showers etc nice and clean, love the music playing in there too! Good facilities for the children, parks and splash pool, little nature trail was fun too. We visited bamburgh castle, the beach in bamburgh too. Went to seahouses played crazy golf and visited holy island. Great ice cream shop in bamburgh and a butchers we used for our bbqs! We enjoyed it so much that this will be our yearly together for our family. Highly recommend!

Excellent site

srablair, Lytham St Anne's, United Kingdom
We had a pitch in the tent field for 3 nights beginning on a Saturday and so the field was quite full for the first night. No problems though, the owners had been very clear about the rules about no noise after 11 and everyone settled down- children and adults alike! and we enjoyed a nice quiet night. The field is quite flat and so we were able to pitch easily. The facilities at the site are great. The shower and toilet block is ample for the size of the site and we had no problems getting a shower in the morning (hot showers included in the price of the pitch and hot water very reliable), especially as we tend to be up by 7.00am on a camping trip. There is an ultraviolet type heater in the shower block which is very welcome and also there were speakers in there too. This meant we could be played a bit of gentle local radio in the morning which was a great way to wake up and also gave the site a unique sense of place. There is a restaurant/bar on site and also a good site shop which we used. Bar area looked good and was busy particular as the weather turned a little colder. We were fine with our barbecue though and had come prepared. Excellent recycling facilities on site nicely gated off so it looks tidy. Ample washing up points so we didn't have any waiting time. A lovely site that has everything we needed and was reasonably priced. Would recommend this as a good base to explore Banbury and Seahouses and area. We had a great weekend here.

Lovely Site

Rsta1971,
Not been camping for years but so glad we chose this place. The site is very well maintained, great shower facilities and the restaurant and bar is good value. Both the splash pool and games room are great extras. Would definitely return.

Lovely place, management need more customer service skills and need to learn how to deal with complaints better.

Jaszak,
So we arrived here on friday. In my party was my husband, myself, my daughter who is 3 and my son 1 and my dog. We were with 3 other families all pitched next to each other which we thought was great as a little getaway we never get after a hard week of work (nothing was ever said to us about group bookings) We pitched up on friday and friday night got the stove going with our hot beef and cracked opened the drinks. Kids were obviously excited and playing around and the men even went to the pub and left us women with kids and then came back at 11. We initially hadnt known we were on a curfew at 11pm (site orders) until a man in a jacket and torch came over and told us to keep the noise down. We were only laughing enjoying ourselves and not causing any harm to others...he came again told us again to keep noise down and obviously when there is a group of 10 people it is hard to be completely silent. So as a group we went to bed at about 11.30pm and nothing else was said to us about the matter. The 2nd night we watched the match on the tablet and had a bbq and as we werent all as excited were in bed by 10.30pm. We took the kids to the splash pool, the park was amazing. We loved it so much we all planned to go back so we got back and booked up straight away. Until i got a phone call saying we werent welcome back, as we were swearing, making too much noise etc... Why didn't anyone chuck us off the site there and then if we were that bad or have a word with us (thats what they say they will do on the signs there if they think you are a disruption) The only night anything was said was the friday by the man with torch and jacket telling us to keep the noise down. We were on a camping sight not a 5 star luxury hotel or in a caravan where we couldnt be heard. In the morning u could here someone cough in the tent next to you. I honestly think if my family were there alone in no grouo nothing would have been said to us. But if you are in a group and there's a few of you of course you are gunna be heard more than others. I think the management have dealt with this appallingly. They have no proof and are accusing us of things we have not done no management were near us at all and no one had pulled us apart from that friday night to tell us to keep noise down as was past 11pm and we went to bed shortly after and are now barred from the site and not welcome back. The manager rang me out of the blue and was very rude to me over the phone so our full group is barred and never allowed back. How can they pin point certain individuals amd penalize us when he never even seen us face to face or warned us when we were there. Just a warning for families who actually want to enjoy themselves and have a laugh, i think they are treating this place like a 5 star hotel and not a outdoor camp site...the whole point of a campsite is your outdoors its not a wellbeing retreat. So if u want to have a curfew and be in bed asleep by 11pm and make no noise this is the place for you otherwise stay away. Ive read previous reviews and i wish i did before i booked as i would know the way in which management would treat us. Very very bad customer service, lovely campsite. Dirty toilets that arent cleaned regular enough every one at one point was dirty and one completly smeared with poo on the seat and not enough showers open.
