Excellent and Charming B&B - Highly Recommended

DrRich4BNA, Nashville, Tennessee
Wormald House was an absolutely excellent treat as we were wrapping up our time on the Hadrian's Wall Path. David was a brilliant and friendly host! This is a charming inn right in the heart of Wylam that offers quality service and is a good spot to recharge after a day on the trail. Our room was comfortable and we had one of the best night's sleep during our journey. We appreciated the sitting room where we had tea in the evening and a full English breakfast the next morning. I wish we had been able to stay longer. We high recommend Wormald House and would readily stay here again if we return to the area.

Absolutely Perfect

Everything about this B&B was absolutely lovely. Dave, the gent who owns this B&B, was away on his own fantastic adventure so it was his sister Rachel who looked after us, and she was spectacular. We arrived after our first big day of doing the Hadrian's Wall walk, and her warmth and the comfort of the B&B were exactly what we needed. She was so hospitable, and the room was incredibly comfortable. Wylam itself is beautiful and we found every minute of our time there enjoyable. The breakfast was truly amazing! If we're ever back in this area in the future, I don't imagine we'd want to stay anywhere else!

Perfect B&B

IanGriffiths999, Bristol, United Kingdom
I stayed here for one night while walking the Hadrian's Wall path in October. This was just what I needed after a long tiring day, a welcoming host, lots of tea, a big comfy double bed to myself and a soak in a hot bath, bliss. David had kindly booked me a table in the only pub that serves food on a Monday evening in Wylam. Breakfast was as good as a full English can ever be and I even had a packed lunch which was also good. All in all I can't really imagine a better B&B experience. Highly recommended.

Dave - You're a Gem

After our first day of walking, this accommodation was very welcome. Comfortable room, instant hot water and blessed relief for our feet with soft, thick carpet on the floors. We suspect that David has a unicorn farm hidden somewhere out the back. We were graciously picked up from Heddon-on-the-Wall, we had our bags carried up and down the stairs for us, introductions were made with the owner of the pub (fab meal), our breakfast was delicious and cups of tea perfect. Thanks a million Dave.

Walking Hadrian’s Wall

An excellent B&B! David was a great host and couldn’t have been more helpful. After a full day’s walk he collected us from Heddon on the Wall. Our room was very comfortable (as was the bed) and a bath was much appreciated. Breakfast was wonderful as was the lift back up to the wall!
