Wonderful time

lornalily, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
I stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful! The rooms were cosy and warm -perfect for a winter getaway. All the staff were amazing so welcoming and helpful. I’ve never had such lovely hospitality. We stayed with our dog and found that there was lots walks and things near by to do near by only a short drive. We had food one evening and they were very accommodation especially with me being vegan. The food was delicious for us both, we had three courses all home made. Our pup stayed in our room exhausted for the wonderful day we had had exploring. The lounge was lovely also, very cosy and looked lovely decorated for Christmas. I really enjoyed my stay so can’t thank them enough. It was nice to get away stress free and have such a nice time. I plan to book my parents in for a visit for their Christmas present.

Friendly staff

Although unexpected on arrival, we still got a pleasant welcome. Room was very comfortable and a great choice for breakfast. Guest lounge with roaring open fire with an honesty bar was very relaxing. Everyone was friendly and an enjoyable stay

one night stay

malmar2609, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
we recently stayed at the coach house for one night after a sponsored walk around Holy Island. On booking in we were met by a very friendly member of staff who informed us of everything entailed in our stay . She even made us a pot of tea which she brought up to our room once we got settled. The room was a surprise free upgrade from the room we had booked. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was very good and the breakfast was evrything you could wish for. This place is "LITTLE GEM" in the Northumberland Countryside and I would highly recommend it run by very friendly Owners and Staff.A+++++++

Lovely stay

Dawn S,
We were welcomed with complimentary tea, scones and the best lemon drizzle cake. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had a lovely nights sleep and an excellent breakfast. Happy to recommend this hotel.

No dinner, no comfy lounge

Jane C, Kirkwall, United Kingdom
I booked B and B through booking.com. The Coach House sent me a welcome email asking if I would like a 3 course dinner (which I had experienced a couple of years ago and had enjoyed). I followed the email instructions to ring and book dinner, and left a full message on the answerphone to book it. On my arrival I was told by a very polite and helpful young lady that they were NOT serving dinner that evening. She recommended a local pub instead. That might have been barely acceptable for a couple, but not for a woman on her own on a wet dark night in rural Northumberland. I contemplated getting a takeaway delivered to eat in the comfortable guest lounge, but was told that was being used for a private buffet for a shooting party. So the things that had prompted me to book - the lovely lounge with comfortable seating and small bar - the home cooked dinner - were all unavailable. I promptly left to find alternative accommodation where I could enjoy food and drink. What a shocking lack of hospitality and consideration for their guests.
