Wonderful B&B along the Northumberland coast

Darcy M,
We recently visited Northumberland and stayed at Stonecroft, as we wanted to be close to the coast. What a wonderful B&B! Sally was an excellent hostess. She's friendly and helpful, and she provided fantastic breakfasts. The room was very clean and comfortable, and had a good view into the yard. The location was very convenient, even though we were using public transportation (the bus stops just outside the property), and Craster is a 15 minute walk away. We highly recommend staying at Stonecroft.

Wonderful stay

Unfortunately, we could only stay one night at this lovely B&B. We received a really warm welcome from Sally along with a cuppa and the most delicious lemon drizzle cake I've ever tasted. Our room was lovely and comfortable and, along with a tea tray with some of Sally's wonderful homemade shortbread, there was also fresh fruit too. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice including kipper cakes which were really tasty. Will definitely return and will stay longer next time!

Peaceful perfection in Dunstan

A wonderful welcoming home. Spacious and comfortable room.. Tea tray on arrival. Fresh milk as required. Superb breakfast supplied by generous hosts Sally and Ian who show a genuine interest in their guests and provide any advice needed. Cannot fault it and look forward to returning in future.

Superb hospitality

We had stayed one night at Stonecroft 15 years ago and remembered the lemon drizzle cake! This time we didn't miss the shortbread - scrumptious. We stayed five nights and so enjoyed several great breakfasts - there is a wide choice. Sally is a great cook and doesn't do anything by halves - homemade granola, bread and marmalade are delicious. Sally is kind and helpful and maintains her B and B to the highest standards. It's altogether most beautifully presented and comfortable. The location is excellent for the coast, for walking and for exploring a host of beautiful places. Alnwick Castle and Garden are just a few minutes' drive. A local bus service stops nearby.

A perfect B&B

An excellent B&B. Sally is the perfect hostess and every detail had been catered for. Located in an ideal quiet location with views to the sea in the distance. The room was large and comfortable. In fact, I am struggling to find some different words to describe how superb this place is without duplicating all the previous reviews. Spot-on with everything!
