Great place to stay

Lovely room, comfy bed and Brian is a diamond. Without his directions into Hexham, I would have been hopelessly lost and his recommendations for dinner were great. He really goes that extra mile. Great choice for breakfast too.

Clean and accomodating

Stayed overnight at The Reading Rooms as we were attending a wedding in the area. Brian was very accomodating in letting us check-in early so we could get ready prior to the wedding. Room was clean and comfortable, and the full English breakfast was a joy the morning after!

The perfect host

I have been to the Reading rooms in haydon bridge a few times the service given by Brian and his staff is very welcoming and he's a great ambassador for northumbrian area 'the rooms are spacious and very clean with tea and coffee available breakfast is a great way to start the day if you have one of his breakfast specials once you venture out into the dramatic countty side you will be amazed

Comfortable, Friendly and

Carl S,
Needed to stay in Haydon Bride to be with a Bride the following morning to film her wedding. Found The Reading Rooms online and gave them a call direct. Brian was really friendly on the phone. Received a text the day of arrival and we gave him our estimated arrival time. He suggest we call 15mins ahead of arrival so he could greet us and he did. Brian was really pleasant, nothing too much trouble. We were shown all the facilities and arranged a suitable time for breakfast. Breakfast was perfect; a cooked breakfast was selected and it came will local sourced products and tasted great. I would recommend The Reading Rooms and would stay here again without hesitation. If you are curious, ask why it got its name, Brian is happy to explain :)

Great Value

If you are frustrated with booking and staying at big impersonal hotels here is your answer. My booking was a bit odd: myself for two nights and with a friend for the third. No problem here and all was well. You won't wish to stay here if you don't like the personal touch, the proprietors being very helpful. Don't be put off by street parking: over 3 days I parked in numerous places, all within 25 yards of the front door. Great place in a lovely village.
