Claire and Simon go the extra mile

ZizouandHarriet, Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Stayed for three nights in Longstone bedroom (twin) in July. The breakfast is amazing - delicious and varied, presented to a high standard, and vegetarians (and vegans, GF etc.) catered for. Beds very comfortable, lovely decor and a good aspect. Especially liked the chairs and table (good for a game of cards) and Mum particularly liked (and left!) the curtains. Private car parking also a bonus. Claire and Simon are very good hosts - friendly, take care of the little things such as helping to book evening meals at local restaurants, and often had discount vouchers for local attractions. Belford is very well placed for visiting this part of Northumberland. Would highly recommend this B&B.

The Perfect Stay

Melanie B, London, United Kingdom
Looking for somewhere to stay on a last-minute trip to Northumberland, we were recommended to try Post Office House and couldn't have made a better choice. Claire was completely accommodating of our last-minute plans and welcomed us enthusiastically. Our room was a twin overlooking the market square and was completely beautiful in every way. Every small detail has been considered to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The décor is modern and tasteful, the beds superbly comfortable and bathroom luxurious enough to make the whole experience feel like treat. We had been warned that the breakfast was something special but this did not prepare us for the amazing array of fresh fruit, yogurts, jams and delicious choice of cooked eggs, bacon etc. Of course, we went for the full cooked which was one of the best we've ever had. There's nothing about Post Office House to disappoint in any way; perfect hosts, picturesque setting, fabulous food and a great nights sleep. Highly recommended.

Post Office House B & B Belford, Northumberlan

Athol R,
We have just enjoyed a one night stay at The Post Office House, Belford. Simon and Claire welcomed us warmly into their beautiful home where every detail had been thoughtfully taken care of. We stayed in the Coquet bedroom, which was very comfy, at the rear of the property overlooking a field of sheep - very tranquil ! The furniture and décor was lovely and very much in keeping with the age of the house, along with some quirky nods to its past as a Post Office. Our breakfast was delicious, as were the home made goodies in our room. We would happily return, and can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Excellent

JenLUK, London
This was a bit on the pricey side for a b&b at £99 for a double room but it justified this by being top of the range in terms of quality. The very welcoming hostess, Claire, had clearly gone to a lot of trouble to ensure every detail was perfect, from the chic décor in the bedrooms, fluffy towels in the bathroom, and the fresh milk for cuppas to the comfy beds and good choice of breakfast options. The food was good (with a varied choice of breakfast options) and the beds comfortable. We even had a small bottle of complementary Lindisfarne mead in our room. Her advice on evening eating options was also spot on. It is definitely a good option if you are looking to stay in the area.
