Absolutely Perfect Stay

Had a lovely night in one of the lodges. Very well equipped, and Nigel was very helpful with his knowledge and advice. The lodge itself was clean and warm, and the bed was very comfortable. Left very early so I asked for fruit to take with me instead of waiting for the cooked breakfast, which Nigel very kindly provided. If I visit the area again, I'll have no hesitation in staying at Four Wynds again

Thanks Nigel and Catherine

The title sums up the hospitality . Close to the trail, and for dinner they organised the ride to the local. The garden lodges are new, comfortable, pratical and cosy. Nigel can point you in the right direction and Catherine can tell you it in any language including Latin. Thanks again!

walkable from trail, very gracious hosts

short walk off Hadrian's Wall trail. Catherine gave us a ride to pub, no problems were too much for them. Nigel was very informative on trail, and helped us plan out the rest of our hike, his advice was perfect and let us have a whole day in Carlisle, which was very fun.

Pennine Way stay

Sandra L, Paisley, United Kingdom
Stayed 2 nights on Pennine Way. Can honestly say Nigel couldn't do enough to help and was continually offering his services to drop us off/pick us up. Most helpful when member of the party had to visit dentist for emergency treatment. Don't know what we would have done without him. Requested boiled eggs for breakfast and he managed to do them just the way we each asked for them. Superb stay and would highly recommend.

Pennine way stop over

Excellent value bed and breakfast, breakfast very good. Nigel kindly advised us on the best route from Alston ( and his advice was very good) and picked us up to avoid a walk along the dual carriageway. Pleasant 10 minute walk to a pub for an evening meal.
