Overview

Quality Bed & Breakfast accommodation on a beautiful coastal spot overlooking Holy Island in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and of Special Scientific Interest.

The premises are old stone buildings which formed part of the original farm steading. Converting the smiddy, cow byre and cartshed has created 7 spacious en-suite rooms that are independent of the farmhouse and have individual front doors so your space is your own. You will enjoy modern comfort all round and be kept warm and cosy by underfloor heating.

New lounge with beautiful view of Holy Island.

Our location is idyllic with an ever changing landscape as the sea comes and goes with the tide. The farm is an ideal base for walking, cycling, and exploring the local area – particularly Lindisfarne and Bamburgh with their magnificent beaches, castles and rich history, and The Farne Islands – a haven for wildlife.

Breakfasts are served in the Granary with plenty of fresh options and cooked breakfasts made to order using local produce. Enjoy homemade jams, local honey and Northumbrian bacon and sausages with delicious free range eggs.

Lovely place to stay.

Stayed here last year and this year. Absolutely delightful place to stay. Lovely spacious clean rooms. Calming decor. Appetising breakfasts. Home-made cake when you return after day sightseeing. Shared lounge area for people who either want to socialise, or come with friends. Sets a very high benchmark for other bed and breakfasts.

A wonderful overnight stay in a beautiful place

NainyNorthWales, North Wales
We stayed at Fenham Farm for one night as part of our Northumberland Coast Path 6 day walk. What a lovely place! Our room, Sandpiper, was spacious, immaculate and very comfortable. We were greeted warmly by Walter who also served our delicious breakfast; Gill was busy behind the scenes. The converted Granary provided an excellent place to eat (evening meals are available just for walkers with no transport - we gather that there are some very good places to eat nearby) and we spent sometime upstairs in the very comfortable guest lounge area. This has a splendid view over the marsh towards the waters around Holy Island. This was one of the best places I have stayed in over many years. My companion had stayed here some years ago and had loved it then. I am already planning a return visit next spring to see the birds that I missed this time. Thank you Walter and Gill

Wonderful as always

This is our fourth visit and we keep coming back simply because it is so good. Gill and Watty are so welcoming and everything about Fenham is first class. We travel widely but have never found a better B and B than Fenham. We will be back for more paradise.

Absolutely Amazing B&B!

i cannot speak highly enough of Fenham Farm. From the moment we arrived to find we had been upgraded to the time we left with a smile and a wave from Walter, we felt welcomed and like old friends. All the rooms are named after wading birds and we were in Redshank which was huge and spotless. It's hard to believe it was once a cart store and converted 10 years ago; the decor looks so fresh and is a credit to Gill. The information pack was comprehensive and up to date including tide times. We were provided with fresh milk and told to help ourselves to more if we needed it. You book a time for breakfast the night before and it's helpful if you can stagger your time with others. Breakfast was the best we have ever experienced in a hotel or B&B with plenty of fresh fruit and a full English cooked to order. The granary opposite the rooms is a huge space to sit and look out across the farm to Lindisfarne and has an honesty bar with local beers and wine . We did the red walk and saw lots of hares and various birds. Wi Fi only worked in the granary but it's good to get offline these days! My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer but we will be back. If you are looking for great accommodation near Holy Island with great hosts then Fenham is for you. Thank you Walter for the chats and advice and Gill for the cakes!

A wonderful B&B

Goosey2014, London, United Kingdom
Practically perfect in every way. Huge very comfortable rooms, with home made cakes provided every day.(ooh the gingerbread). One of the best showers and breakfasts to die for. The views were amazing, the walking around the farm brilliant, the number of hares extraordinary. It was great, a really lovely friendly, welcoming place.
