Overview

Quality Bed & Breakfast accommodation on a beautiful coastal spot overlooking Holy Island in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and of Special Scientific Interest.

The premises are old stone buildings which formed part of the original farm steading. Converting the smiddy, cow byre and cartshed has created 7 spacious en-suite rooms that are independent of the farmhouse and have individual front doors so your space is your own. You will enjoy modern comfort all round and be kept warm and cosy by underfloor heating.

New lounge with beautiful view of Holy Island.

Our location is idyllic with an ever changing landscape as the sea comes and goes with the tide. The farm is an ideal base for walking, cycling, and exploring the local area – particularly Lindisfarne and Bamburgh with their magnificent beaches, castles and rich history, and The Farne Islands – a haven for wildlife.

Breakfasts are served in the Granary with plenty of fresh options and cooked breakfasts made to order using local produce. Enjoy homemade jams, local honey and Northumbrian bacon and sausages with delicious free range eggs.

First visit to Northumberland

Karen M, Essex
A wonderful 3 day stay in Northumberland. Fenham Farm is a beautiful and luxurious B and B in a stunning location overlooking Holy Island. Gill and Walter were wonderful hosts. Homemade cakes in the room each day and wonderful breakfasts using locally sourced produce. Great walks straight out from the farm including a walk on to Holy Island via The Poles. Plan dinner carefully as it is not possible to walk anywhere from the farm. It was well worthwhile travelling by taxi to The Black Bull in Lowick for dinner .

A gem of a place!

Our room (Lapwing) was very nice but it was all the little touches that made this place so wonderful. Each day we were treated to some traybakes in our room, in addition to fresh milk in a flask. This personal touch sets Fenham Farm aside from chains or hotels in general. The owners were lovely and hospitable. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The lounge area was homely and a nice place to relax at the end of the day. A recommendation (although it didn’t spoil our stay) would be to have some additional pillows in the room for people to choose from. I ended up sleeping on a tiny square one off the sofa as the others weren’t at all comfortable (each to their own, I know). We really loved this place and would return in a heartbeat.

What a stay in such gorgeous surroundings. Spoiled we were. Breakfasts were varied and great choice. Rooms were excellent with superb showers and space. Really it's a must to stay here. Wonderful host and hostess.

An Excellent 2 Night Stay

Andrew N, Northwich, United Kingdom
A great location along the Northumbrian coastline with views across to Holy Island and the causeway. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and with some home baked cake to accompany the tea and coffee with fresh milk. There is a large lounge on the first floor with a view across the estuary to Holy Island. Excellent breakfasts are freshly cooked to order with many local ingredients and include the full spectrum of choice from cooked to fruit and cereal. They are located about 1-2 miles off the A1 and there are plenty of choices for food locally. Thoroughly recommended to anyone visiting the area.

Wow a truly fantastic Bed and Breakfast

rowena8256, Doncaster, United Kingdom
Stayed with a friend overnight whilst we were undertaking the Northumberland Coastal Path. The farm is only about half a mile from the path and lies on a working farm. Walter and Gill have taking such care and attention in transforming cow sheds, barns and farm buildings into individual luxury rooms. Roomy with top quality finish and tastefully decorated every room contains all you need for a comfortable night with roomy powerful showers in the bathrooms. There is also the Granary which as well as being ideal to meals had a large open plan lounge with books games and fantastic views out to holy island. The food was excellent and again beautifully presented. Walter was also full of advice about walking around the area and on Holy Island. It was the best choice of breakfast goodies I’ve ever seen. Must definitely return with family for further stay
