Home From Home

John D, London, United Kingdom
Just had 2 nights at Bow House with David and Beverley, They seem to have thought of everything all the little Homely touches that elevate this guest house to another level. Timed Breakfasts so you don't have to waste time, when you want to be out exploring. Really couldn't have been better

We will be back

Peter B,
My wife and I have just had two nights at this EXCELLENT B&B. David and Beverley are great hosts. I cannot honestly think of anything that we would change here.Read all the previous reviews and everybody says the same thing, so I won't repeat it. Oh one thing, the Carrot Cake is just "yummy", I had to mention that. Cleanliness, Comfort, spot on, oh another thing, If you can't find something to please you on the breakfast menu!!!. I could go on, but I won't. It's a GREAT place to stay Thank you both, we will return

Perfect weekend with Mum @ Bow House

,
Just spent a lovely weekend at Bow House. David & Beverley are excellent hosts, a really personal service with lovely touches, such as hot drinks & cake on arrival, decanter of sherry in room & upon our return from sightseeing on a wet Saturday afternoon, we were offered a decanter of freshly brewed coffee to take up to the room! We stayed in the Crecy room, which was immaculately clean and well decorated with a private balcony. Impressed at how well located Bow House is for town, a short 2 min walk to the main market place and parking outside B & B with loan of a resident's parking permit for the weekend. Breakfast choice and quality was outstanding with individual breakfast selections & even catered for Gluten free. I can thoroughly recommend Bow House - a lovely, well located place to stay with attentive but not intrusive hosts.

Attention to detail

Kim B, Wakefield, England, United Kingdom
We have just returned from a lovely stay at Bow House. We were given a warm welcome by David who booked us in desdespite the fact we had arrived 2 hours before check in time. The room was warm and tastefully decorated and included such thoughtful touches as a decanter of sherry, a selection of tea blends, hot chocolate, squash and coffee (both caffeinated and decaf). The towels were thick and fluffy and changed regularly. There was also a coloured face cloth for removing make up along with cotton wool balls, cotton pads and ear buds provided along with the usual toiletries. The guest house is ideally situated for exploring the centre of Alnwick and beyond. The breakfasts were delicious and consisted of locally sourced produce. David and Beverley were most attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing a lunch time post of tea and the offer to dry wet walking gear.

Alnwick visit

Paul R,
This has to be the best b&b ever! On the afternoon that we arrived we were admitted by the owners David and Beverly Taylor, their warm friendly welcome was soon to be followed by tea and carrot cake, we were then shown where to find everything that we may need throughout our visit, we were offered the use of a fridge and told to help ourselves to beers which were chilling there and were told that we wouldn’t be changed for them, our room was en suit and spotlessly clean and comfy, with an ample supply of beverages, breakfast was everything that you could wish for with plenty of choice, there were other home comforts on offer, such as flasks of hot drinks if you’re going walking, and a drying service should you return with wet clothes. David and Beverly are well suited to their chosen occupations, making this for us a home from home visit. Many thanks from Carole & Paul.
