From the A1 southbound from Edinburgh (approx 80 miles) and Alnwick (approx 20 miles) follow the A192 signed to Morpeth. Continue into the town centre on Newgate Street. Turn left at the first mini roundabout by the Morpeth Town Hall, onto Bridge Street. The TIC in the Chantry is located on the right, just before the mini roundabout and the Bridge.
From A1 northbound from Newcastle upon Tyne (approx 12miles) take A197 signed to Morpeth. Follow for approximately 3 miles to the town centre. Cross the Telford Bridge, and the TIC in the Chantry is immediately on the left.
Morpeth is on the East Coast rail main line, just north of Newcastle upon Tyne, with regular services to London and Edinburgh via East Coast Trains (www.eastcoast.co.uk) , and Cross Country Trains (www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk) to Scotland, the Midlands and the South West. Services are provided regionally by Northern Rail trains (www.northernrail.org).
Taxis are available from the railway station and town centre.
There is a Bus Station in the centre of Morpeth, with services provided by Arriva Buses www.arrivabus.co.uk , and other local bus companies.
Newcastle International Airport is just 7 miles south of Morpeth, near Ponteland.
