Castleview is a Georgian townhouse situated right next to Alnwick Castle. The house, which has 2 double guest bedrooms has been attractively refurbished in 2008 in the traditional style with many antiques including a Victorian brass bed and a 4-poster bed. The bedrooms overlook the castle walls.
The town centre, with numerous restaurants, pubs and the Alnwick Playhouse, is only 100 metres away, yet a 5 minute stroll in the opposite direction brings you to a pleasant walk in 'the pastures' with wonderful views of the castle across the river.
Castleview is the ideal place for a romantic break or a sight-seeing trip. It is only a 10 minute drive from long, sandy beaches and the Cheviots, with a wide range of peaceful, scenic walks, are only a half hour drive away.

Road Directions
From Newcastle
Alnwick is 30 miles north of Newcastle. Take the second exit off the A1 at Alnwick (signposted Boulmer). At the top of the slip road go across the main road towards Eglingham. At the roundabout (half a mile) take 1st exit to Alnwick. At the top of the hill is the main entrance to Alnwick Castle. Park on the cobbles on the left. Castleview is on the corner opposite the castle entrance and 'Athey's Antiques'.
Public Transport Directions
From Newcastle/Edinburgh:
If using the train, stop at Alnmouth Station. Steve and Linda provide a pick-up and return service from here by pre-arrangement. There is also a regular bus service to Alnwick.
