The Coach House is a 17thC dower house with a collection of former farm buildings located in rolling countryside. The traditional bedrooms upstairs in the dower house offer exposed beams and plenty of character. The tastefully converted bedrooms set in the sun filled courtyard offer spacious fully equipped and disabled friendly accommodation.
The large vaulted residents lounge and bar features a great open fire with lovely views over the terrace and orchard, where Shetland Ponies graze beneath Damson trees. Complementary afternoon tea is served in the lounge to all newly arrived guests on a warm afternoon you can enjoy refreshments in the suntrap that is our expansive terrace.
Breakfast and dinner is served in our 2 elegant dining rooms with period fireplaces, beams and feature windows. In the evening our tables are dressed in fine crisp linen where traditional food with a Mediterranean influence is served on the finest Wedgwood china. Choose from our varied wine list to compliment your meal.
The Coach House is halfway between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Renowned for our quiet roads, Alnwick or the stunning coast is within half an hour drive.
