The Official Visitor Site for Northumberland
In a picturesque setting on the edge of the Northumberland National Park these lovely former barns have been converted into comfortable well appointed cottages, with many original features, including vaulted beamed ceilings. Both cottages have log burning stoves.
Visitors enjoy magnificent views and access to 12 acres of grounds with a private stretch of the River Rede, ideal for picnics and fishing for brown trout and salmon. This is a perfect location from which to explore the Scottish Borders, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, steeped in history, stretching from Jedburgh in the West to Bamburgh's magnificent heritage coastline in the East. Visit Kielder Forest and water, Hadrian's Wall and Alnwick Gardens all within easy driving distance. Wonderful walks and wildlife literally on your doorstep.
Both properties share a large courtyard with furniture and an orchard with swings and hammock. Cottages also have their own private garden with furniture. A perfect choice for relaxing and exploring. A location with something for everyone!
