Situated close to the Haltwhistle Burn and gorge, Chare Close provides easy access to Hadrian's Wall and beyond. Cycle routes for Hadrian's Wall, the Pennine Way and the new South Tyne Way are also within easy reach.
Local shops, bus stops, pubs and the railway station are close by. We are delighted to be able to offer visitors the choice of 3 rooms all with en-suite facilities and the comforts of home such as TV/DVDs, tea and coffee etc.
Visitors have the exclusive use of a comfortable lounge and dining area with a large lobby for walkers and cyclists to store outdoor clothes and boots.
We offer a pick up and drop off service for those needing access to and from the railway station or walks.
Secure bike storage is available with puncture repair, maintenance and washing facilities.
We are able to offer packed lunches, snacks and an evening supper on request.

Road Directions
From the east, take the first Haltwhistle exit, turn first right, bear left over a small bridge and up the hill. Chare Close is on the right at the corner of Mill Lane.
From the west, take the second Haltwhistle exit on the left after crossing the river and proceed as above.
Public Transport Directions
From the station proceed north past the Railway Hotel on the right. Follow the high street past the Market Square and continue to follow the road past the Grey Bull Hotel. Chare Close is down the hill on the left beside Mill Lane.
