The Official Visitor Site for Northumberland
Beck 'n' Call is situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Warkworth, in rural Northumberland. An outstanding traditional country cottage (Over 200 years old) where guests receive a warm and friendly welcome. The cottage has many traditional features, including beamed ceilings and open log fire in residents' lounge. All rooms have colour TV, tea-making facilities and heating. En suite rooms available, all rooms are ground floor.
Set in large terraced gardens with natural stream, the cottage is within 5 minutes walk of the village, peaceful river walks and the most beautiful sandy beaches and dunes.
Warkworth is overlooked by its magnificent castle, and is enclosed by a winding loop of the River Coquet, renowned for salmon fishing. Up stream from the castle is the Hermitage, a chapel hewn in the rock and reached only by rowing boat.
No other region in England has a larger selection of castles and fortresses. Holy Island is a must as an ancient centre of Christianity. Few visitors will leave the island unaffected by its romance, history and fairytale setting.
There are many things to do during your break in this area. Attractions can be found to cater for every taste and inclination.
Mo and Brian Halliday look forward to welcoming you to Beck 'n' Call.
