Historical re-enactment staged by English Heritage on Holy Island where the first recorded Viking attack on the coast of England took place in 793AD. Encounter the terrifying Vikings as they spread a wave of terror and turmoil with their raids. Explore their encampment to discover the rigours and entertainments of Viking campaigning. Witness displays of combat culminating in a full-scale battle with the re-enactors of The Vikings.
