With the memories of a wet summer fresh in the mind and constant messages of economic doom and gloom the first thing we all hear in the morning, wouldn't it be nice to let the whole family escape from reality this Autumn?

Well, why not travel to Northumberland this October half-term for an entire programme of family friendly activities with everything from wildlife spotting in untouched corners of Northumberland National Park to Northumberland Light's pyrotechnic spectacular in Blyth. If that's not enough to keep the little ones entertained, you will find an extensive range of Halloween activities throughout the county from The Alnwick Garden's Skeleton Ball to Haunted Trails through the dark forests of Kielder Water & Forest Park.
