Road Directions

DIRECTIONS TO COMB BY ROAD FROM THE SOUTH

1. Head north on the A1 – past Metrocentre
2. Leave A1 on A69 heading West signed Carlise/Hexham
3. Straight over first roundabout
4. Within 3 or 4 miles of the roundabout, look for slip road A68 which drops off to the left.
5. Turn right at the roundabout at the bottom of slip road and head North on A68.
6. About 17 miles come to village of West Woodburn, BE CAREFUL HERE, AS 30 MILE ZONE AND POLICE DO MONITOR IT SO WATCH OUT.
7. After leaving village, 1.7 miles pass the junction for Otterburn & Bellingham.
8. Straight over, continuing North on A68 for further 0.7 miles.
9. Look for small farmhouse on left with junction just after it.
10. Turn left just after farmhouse, signed Comb 7 ¾, and Greenhaugh 4 miles.
11. Now on twisty windy road and you feel like you are driving into the middle of nowhere, but trust us we are 7 ¾ miles along this road, with only one sign to follow to ‘Comb’.
12. Something to look out for will be signs for Blackmiddens Bastle, which is a historic ruin just on the edge of our land.

Just to note, if you get stuck ring us on 01434 240245 and somebody will talk you in. Only problem with that of course, is that you cannot get a mobile signal on our land so ring us whilst you still have a signal.

Following on from that point if you use that telephone number as a contact should you wish anybody to get hold of you whilst you are at the Comb.
