The Official Visitor Site for Northumberland
This beautifully restored Georgian house offers elegant, luxurious and comfortable accommodation, situated within the town’s Elizabethan walls on one of its most beautiful streets. We care about our environment and the house is run with green values at its heart.
Both the twin/family room and double room are spacious, en-suite and immaculately decorated with period furniture. The hand carved walnut Louis XV beds are dressed with luxuriously comfortable down-duvets and Egyptian cotton sheets. There are tea and coffee making facilities, and other personal touches, in each room as well as a fridge, TV, DVD and free Wi-Fi. Guests can also relax in the large and beautiful walled garden with the option of a game of table tennis or croquet.
For breakfast there is a generous range of options from the very best of food from around Berwick, most of which is organic and/or fair-trade and includes home grown produce. There are many good restaurants and cafes within a short walking distance of the house for lunch and evening meal, and packed lunches are also available on request.
Located in the heart of Berwick's culture and heritage, it is a perfect place from which to explore the beauty of Berwick, Northumberland and the Borders. There is easy access to Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, the Cheviots, Alnwick and Edinburgh amongst many other historic and beautiful places. Your host, Ian, a trained geologist and a potter can help with advice on the wealth of natural history, heritage and culture to be found here.
