The Official Visitor Site for Northumberland
Leeholme, situated in the fishing village of Seahouses, is an ideal base for touring Northumberland. Our private accommodation consists of 3 comfortable rooms: 2 en suite rooms and a double with a private bathroom. Tea/coffee-making facilities are provided, colour TV and hair dryers.
Leeholme is 5 minutes' walk to Seahouses harbour and shops. Boats depart from the picturesque harbour to the Farne Islands which were once a sanctuary for St Cuthbert and his monks and a home to Grace Darling, but are now renowned as a world-famous bird sanctuary and the home of a grey seal colony. Lindisfarne (Holy Island) is a short drive away and is another place of great interest with its monastery castle and Lindisfarne mead. There are many spectacular castles to visit such as Bamburgh, Alnwick and Chillingham and many houses - Manderston, Mellerstain and Paxton to name but a few. The coastline is magnificent with miles and miles of long golden beaches to be explored after a hearty breakfast at Leeholme! The beautiful countryside is certainly worth a visit.
A warm welcome awaits you at this small, homely bed and breakfast. Ray and Mary Wood look forward to meeting future guests who are visiting wonderful Northumberland.
