Road Directions

Travelling North to 'Old Stables Cottage' , Whitton, Rothbury, Northumberland. Travel on A1, passing Newcastle Upon Tyne. Go past signs for Morpeth, then take the A697 Coldstream road on your left. Continue util you reach a rather long stretch of road that has a steep decline, as the road goes up again you will see a turning on your left - B6344 Rothbury.
Drive for about ten minutes and you will enter Rothbury, you will see shops on either side of you, Barclays Bank is on your right. Take the turning left, opposite Barclays Bank, go straight over the bridge, take the right turning at the end of the bridge. Continue driving up this road until you get to a T-junction. At the T-junction turn left, follow the road up for about 100 meters, you will pass a stone bungalow and a couple of houses behind trees. When you see a stone building on the left, this is Old Stables Cottage, there is a sign on the wall. There is a car parking space in the courtyard next to the oil storage container, you can also park outside the cottage beside the road.
