Farm Cottage is a deceptive name for a spacious detached house, oozing with character, that has been occupied by the Telford family for approximately 200 years.

Your hosts, Joan and Allen, offer you the warmest of welcomes to their award winning home.

Location: The house is well situated in the village of Thropton in the heart of the Coquet Valley. The busy village of Rothbury lies 2 miles to the east where many amenities and good local shops can be found. A short car journey away will take guests to a variety of historic buildings and places of stunning natural beauty.

The Cottage: Throughout Farm Cottage you will find an eclectic collection of antiques and curios. The two lounge areas provide comfortable and relaxing seating, together with a good selection of reading material and board games.

The comfortable Guests sleeping accommodation comprises of 5 en-suite rooms each with its own name, character and charm.

Choose from - Sunrise, Sunset, Rose, Pergola and Garden Mini Suite - ground floor or first floor, shower, bath or both.

All rooms provide guests with that 'little bit extra' - luxury bathroom requisites, colour TV, mineral water and a comprehensive hospitality tray.

Great emphasis is placed upon the quality and range of food offered at Farm Cottage. Both Joan and Allen are excellent cooks and enjoy providing meals of an exceptional standard together with a variety of menu.

Breakfast is served in the new dining room where guests enjoy individual tables with views over the garden.
