From Newcastle:
From Scotswood Road take the ramp to A695/Derwenthaugh Rd. Go through 3 roundabouts.
Turn left at B6315 Woodside Lane signposted Greenside.
Take a right into the village of Greenside at the top. With the Pack Horse pub on your right take a right turning, which is actually straight ahead as the road bends to the left. Avoid following the road round to the left signposted High Spen. The turn off on the right keeps a church on your right and a gym on your left towrds Coalburns.
After Coalburns village there is a bend in the road to the right with a turning off to the left signposted Chopwell. Continue on the road taking the bend to the right through Leadgate Cottages past the Hadrian Restaurant until you reach Hedley on the Hill 4 mins.

613 Snaith travel has a bus service on a Tuesday to the village from Whittonstall arriving in hedley at 9:30 am and from Hexham to the village at 12:35.
