Northumberland's northern most town sees the State of Berwick on 29th and 30th November, celebrating the culture of Berwick-upon-Tweed, its heritage and its people.

In the face of centuries of conflict, border disputes and hardship, the Borough of Berwick has maintained a unique identity, fiercely independent and full of humour. We will be celebrating Berwick's character and resilience with a series of town centre installations, both on the streets and under cover, highlighting the environmental, cultural, architectural, historical and musical wealth of Berwick.

This will include animating some of Berwick's most intimate spaces with film music, the spoken word and sound experiences transmitted through the towns very own radio waves.
