Arcot Hall golf course, designed by the legendary James Braid, is an excellent parkland course and one of Northumberland’s finest, located 6 miles north of Newcastle, close to the A1-A19 interchange.
Although the course is relatively flat and easy walking it is by no means an easy touch. Mature woodland, bushes, gorse, water hazards, well placed bunkers and tight fairways all combine to offer a memorable examination of a player’s ability. The par four holes are mostly dog-legs and with five testing par threes the course, at 6400 yards, par 70, examines every facet of your game.
There is a well stocked pro shop, good practice facilities and a magnificent grade II listed clubhouse, where visitors and societies can expect a warm welcome and first class hospitality.
Arcot Hall Golf Club has hosted, and is one of the nominated courses, for both county and Northern region competitions and championships.
In addition the recently restored walled garden provides an ideal venue for weddings, parties and other special occasions.
Conveniently located less than 1 mile from the A1-A19 interchange (take the A1068 to Cramlington and follow Arcot Hall signs), 6 miles from Newcastle, 7 from the airport and 8 from the Metro Centre.
Although not readily serviced by public transport, Arcot Hall is conveniently located for access by road, less than a mile from the A1-A19 interchange.
