Nestled in the heart of Kielder Water & Forest Park, close to the shores of Kielder Water, the Calvert Trust offers self catering accommodation in 4-star Scandanavian Lodges.  A wide range of indoor and outdoor activities are also available, all of which are run to National Governing Bodies guidelines by highly trained and qualified staff who are skilled in working with all levels of ability.

We have ten spacious Scandinavian lodges set in the 40 acre woodland site with spectacular views across the surrounding landscape, providing an ideal opportunity for relaxation in a beautiful, tranquil yet unspoilt natural landscape.

Each of our 10 specially designed lodges are spacious, fully accessiblea to National Accessible Scheme Mobility Level 3, Vision level 2 and Hearing level 1.  They are located in two positions: hillside lodges offering stunning panoramic views and burnside lodges, which are in close proximity to the main centre.

Hillside lodges offer 2 twin and 1 double bedroom each and all burnside lodges offer three twin rooms. 
All lodges have large lounge and dining room area and one bedroom in each has an overhead ceiling hoist. In the kitchen there is a height adjustable work surface, plus washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob, fridge and freezer. In the bathroom there is a level entry shower and shower seat, static manual bath hoist and colour contrasting grab rails for additional assistance. Each lodge has a patio area where you can relax, perhaps have a barbeque and sit back with a glass of wine. There is level parking for 2 cars outside each lodge.

We also offer a take away meal service from the centre, so if you don’t feel like cooking, we offer take-away foods, or alternatively you can buy into the home cooked meals on offer in our dining room.

Guests can visit our licensed bar, go for a dip in the hydrotherapy swimming pool, or relax in our sauna. There is also the opportunity to join our outdoor activities sessions subject to availability and additional charges. These include: sailing, canoeing, climbing, abseiling, archery, swimming and much more. Instruction and equipment are provided but pre-booking is essential.
