Very Clean

Our room was large and very clean. Only stayed there one night but had a great sleep. Breakfast was really good and cooked fresh. Set back from the main road and never heard any traffic noise. Very easy to find.

Excellent food in a beautiful location.

We called in at the Redesdale Arms this week for food. Service is from 12:00 pm until 8:30 pm which suits us well as we can drop in whenever we happen to be passing. The haggis was beautiful as was the fish pie. Everything fresh and well presented. Not overly fussy. Local produce whenever possible and nothing processed. The menu is not vast (a good thing, actually) yet neatly covers a wide spectrum of cuisine and, of course, there is a specials board too. The Redesdale is a refreshing place to eat as it has a light and clean decor with none of the dark brown wood and once-smoky pub atmosphere found in quite a few places. We were very pleased with the experience and will definitely return.

Great hospitality at very last minute!

We stayed in a camper at the pub in the summer - pulled up quite late and were really pleased with our welcome. Nice and cosy pub. Lovey full English breakfast the next morning - all in all it was lovely thank you!

Nice enough

Gynaika and Dav... K,
A nice enough pub menu. Very limited vegetarian choice, though (soup sometimes, goat's cheese salad, burger) which can get repetitive, but they were on the better end of these dishes (I've eaten here twice). Nice staff. Useful as an oasis of WiFi in a 3G desert.

Love this place, third time I've stayed here ...

It doesn't pretend to be anything but a good pub with dinner, bed and breakfast facilities ... and it is great at that! Good beer, honest food, wonderful, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Owners weren't on site this stay but bar, restaurant and chef all a credit to them. Says it all really .......
