Attentive, comfortable and relaxing- just what a break should be!

Catherine R, Cheltenham, United Kingdom
Just returned from a very enjoyable two night stay at the Redesdale Arms. Ate in the restaurant for both nights and thoroughly enjoyed the home made cheese and onion quiche and scampi, both of which were served with a generous portion of chips and crisp salad. The dessert board was also good and we both enjoyed the creme brulee and Bailey's cheese cake options. The only small criticism was that there was no cheese board on the menu, but perhaps me and my partner needed to try something different! The staff were friendly and definitely attentive in a nice, but not 'in your face' manner. Nice to see staff with smiles and good manners eg; carrying suitcases to your room and fetching condiments etc to make you feel really looked after. The breakfasts were also good with staff happy to cater for customers who wanted to 'pick and choose' rather than keep to the set choices and that was appreciated. The shower was good and the room we stayed in had all you would really need including an arm chair each to sit and relax and a very nicely stocked tea tray with biscuit packs, various drink sachets and fresh milk available on request. I would very much like to return there.

Redesdale Arms replied: Dear Catherine R, Thank you for taking the time to review the Redesdale Arms, its great feedback and we're delighted you enjoyed your stay. We hope to welcome you back. Regards Carrol & mark

Jillyw21,
Stayed here night before a wedding at Woodhill Hall and it was very pleasant. Spotlessly clean with all the facilities I needed. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

What a pleasant place to stay & eat

W6981WUdavidp, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
We stayed for one night on our drive to Angus in Scotland from Milton Keynes. The room was spaceous and well furnished; the bed very comfortable; the room was spotlessly clean; the service excellent; the staff very freindly; & the evening meal devine - delicious homemade local food. Our only criticism - the shower space was far too small. Breakfast was excellent, plenitful asnd home cooked. An excellent scenic & quiet location with plenty of parking spaces. We would recommend the Redesdale Arms highly and definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great base for visiting The Borders

Paul D,
Spent a great long weekend at the hotel. Owners and staff are really friendly and make sure you feel welcome and have everything you need. Our room was a family room with two single beds and a double, perfect for the two if us and our Grandson. The hotel, restaurant and bar are children friendly and our four yearold had a nice time with all the staff. Each day started with an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and served as ever with a warm welcome and smile. Beware dieters, the food here is yummy and plentiful. Lots of parking space, a great view across the dale and a great location for exploring borders. Even the coast (Bamburgh and Seahouses) is easily drivable. Great weekend, thanks to all the staff.

Redesdale Arms replied: Dear Paul D, Thank you for taking the time to review the Redesdale Arms. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back again. Kind regards from all of us at the Redsdale Arms

A warm and friendly atmosphere in beautiful surroundings.

E J,
A large family room with large disabled-friendly bathroom was provided instead of a twin room without any extra cost. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. There was a full breakfast range and home-cooked evening meals that were excellent in quality and value. The proprietor and staff were very friendly and most accommodating particularly with my travelling companion who took ill during our stay. A very big thank you for a lovely few days rest and recuperation.

Redesdale Arms replied: Dear E J, Thank you for your lovely review of the Redesdale Arms. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay, it was lovely to meet both of you and we're looking forward to seeing you again. Regards Carrol
