Northumberland Cheese Company was started by Mark Robertson at Soppitt Farm in 1984. Milking a few sheep and a few cows, cheese from Northumberland was reborn!
Our cheeses are still made in a traditional way, with slow batch pasteurising to manage the cheese careful and only using single farms.
Our cheese travel the whole of the UK and occasionally the world. Our latest prize is a 1st at the Great Yorkshire show 2008
Viewing window in the wall allows visitors to look into the dairy from the outside to see for themselves where each cheese is made and has gone through the time-honoured process. Please ring for details of moulding time. There is a staircase to upstairs Cheese shop and Tearoom.
