The farm shop is a showcase for not only the very best Northumberland has to offer with over 55 local suppliers featured in the shop, but is also an outlet for their own produce grown on Blagdon Home Farm a mile away. The shop takes great pride in the freshness and quality of the food it rears and raises, and is highly regarded both locally and nationally for its commitment to animal welfare, environmentally sensitive farming methods and TASTE.
The farm shop butchery has twice been voted national “Butchers shop of the year” in 2006 and 2008, and offers their farm’s own delicious, succulent rare breed beef, pork and free range poultry, local lamb, as well as seasonal meal ideas such as fantastic BBQ food and Northumberland game when in season.
The girls in the farm shop kitchen hand make pies, oven ready dishes and sweets to die for in small batches using produce from the farm as well as the very best ingredients from further afield.
With the freshest seasonal vegetables available in the store within 10 minutes of being cut, bread made fresh each morning by our local baker, and friendly, passionate and knowledgeable staff ,the relaxed atmosphere of the converted steadings make it a great place to discover how good Northumbrian food can taste.
