Stayed here on the Pennine Way. Excellent quality bunk rooms with comfy beds, clean bedding, fluffy duvets, fully equipped kitchen, hot showers, great value for money. Good drying room for wet boots and nice communal area. Would definitely recommend it!

Family run campsite , nice pitch , farmer and wife very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive A working farm as well Local pubs in very easy walking distance Only drawback only one shower in women's block , but didn't have to wait if timed it right A good three star site if you like quiet and friendly with a good pitch

Amazing friendly campsite

Mrmac1162, Hebburn, United Kingdom
We stayed at this campsite on 12th August for 3 nights! Fantastic owners, Robert is a lovely gentleman who showed us to our pitch and explained everything! Great location fantastic views and very very close to the small village of Bellingham. 3 pubs, butchers, bakery, bank, post office, Chinese takeaway (which was fab) and a local co-op selling everything you need. Unfortunately our tent developed a major leak and we had to cut our stay short after only one night! Robert the owner asked why we were leaving and we explained our tent was leaking water and he refunded the other two nights! This was very kind of him and shows the sort of owners they are! Top class site and even better owners! New tent and we will be rushing back to stay at Demesne Farm Campsite and Bunkhouse!

Ideal Stop on The Reivers' Way

JohnatPales, Penrith, United Kingdom
56 miles from Newcastle is quite enough laden with tent etc, Demesne Farm came as a welcome sight. Great welcome from helpful family and clear, kind advice on what was where. Facilities were not spotless, but quite adequate and convenient. The site is divided into an area with hook-ups and another that was for tents. I was offered a small hillock to pitch my small tent above these areas. It had flat summit, and was ideal as it was dry, in the breeze and quiet, yet near the showers etc. My neighbours were all quiet and the site seemed to be full of people who new the correct etiquette for a camp site. £7 was very reasonable. A 200m walk to The Cheviot Hotel, excellent recommendation from the owner, see another review, a good night's sleep and away the next morning refreshed, clean and ready to tackle the forest.
