An Oasis in the middle of Hadrian's Wall walk

Paolo A, London, United Kingdom
First of all David s the most welcoming host ever. He really made me and my friend feel at home. The guest house is welcoming, clean and feels homely. David booked the local pizza place for me and my friend to eat. A great place. David's Dad then drove us back to the walk on the next day, great service. Breakfast was great, room was a good size.

Wonderful Experience!

Paul L,
While hiking Hadrian's Wall last month, had the pleasure of staying at Wormald House the first evening. Everything about the service and accommodations exceeded my expectations in every way and it was easily the best place we stayed on the week-long trip.

Very comfortable

SeattleHeidi, Glasgow, United Kingdom
This room was perfect for a weary traveler hiking Hadrian's Wall. The bed was comfortable, the room was tastefully decorated, and the owners were available yet relaxed (they weren't in my face the whole time the way some B&B owners can be). It's near enough to Newcastle to be convenient but far enough away that it feels like the countryside.

Great little B&B

acolgan, West Chester, Pennsylvania
Our group of 5 filled the B&B, which has max room for 7 or 8. David seemed fussy, but it soon became evident that his explanations were really valuable. The rooms and beds are super comfortable and the breakfast was amazing in its abundance and quality. We were biking Hadrian's Wall, and David took our bikes right into the house for safekeeping. Also, our bike tour company, Open Roads, Open Skies booked the B&B for us, and the overall convenience and quality made everything great.

Pleasant hosts

Chris M, Claremont, California
The owners were very welcoming; rooms were clean and comfortable. Good breakfast choices; good information from the hosts on the history of the area particularly the George Stephenson house. Hosts set up dinner at the "Black Bull" which served amazing fish pie with huge pieces of salmon in it - delicious. Very nice visit.
