Stayed here for 3 nights over Easter. Rooms are very clean, tidy and there plenty of space for your clothes etc. There is a hairdryer, shower, complimentary shower gels etc and the view from our window was the lovely countryside of Northumberland . The B and B is situated about a mile from the lively village of wooler.. several nice pubs and places to eat.... Our hosts were lovely and helped us with our planned trips to various places directing us to parking areas and areas of interest. There is one strange request written in the rooms... that is to vacate the property between 1000 and 1600... this wasn't a problem for us as we had lots planned anyway but unless it stipulated in the booking conditions it can't be "enforced" as such.. anyway just a minor point as there is so much to do in the area. Very quiet where the B and B is but walls a bit thin and you can hear your neighbours talking in their room. There are just the 3 tools all appear similar. Breakfast is good but has to be ordered the night before on a form which is probably the best as only 3 rooms. There is fruit, yogurts, cereals and a choice of cooked breakfast and toast.... served between 0890 and 0845... again no problems there as we wanted early starts ... hosts are lovely people and look after you very well. A great place to stay and loads to see locally as you are on the edge of Northumberland national Park. Plenty of parking space for your car and just about 15/20 min walk to the village for a night time drink and food. All in all very well worth staying here.

Very enjoyable stay in this super B&B

Stayed overnight on my way North to Scotland and was delighted to have found this lovely B&B. The room was comfortable, the breakfast perfect and the hosts friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful hosts.

I recently stayed at the Hemmel whilst visiting the area with my father. Jack and Sue were outstanding hosts, very welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The Hemmel is ideally situated to explore Northumberland. Highly recommended.

An absolute pleasure

Clive R,
This was our first trip into Northumberland and Sue and Jack made our visit with their hospitality. Set in a huge valley just on the outskirts of Wooler peace and quiet awaits with spotless accommodation, our on-suite was equipped with a huge shower and a tub for two with hot water a plenty. A perfect position to explore with Jack's knowledge on hand to assist, you could not meet a nicer gentleman. A perfect weekend topped off when meeting Sue who has certainly had a lasting effect on both of us. Perfect hosts for a perfect county. We will be back very soon.

Lovely B&B

Was most impressed by this very welcoming, cosy B&B. Jack came out to welcome me and took my suitcase to my room. Very nice cosy room with good facilities. Great shower room with a powerful shower. I had so much breakfast, I couldn't finish it all, so don't understand anyone saying the breakfast was skimpy. If you want a lovely bed for the night at a very reasonable price, in the wonderful Northumberland countryside, you couldn't do much better than this
