Comfortable B&B in small town

collegecounselor, Lawrence, KS
We stayed here 3 nights. Nice room, quiet location, good base for northern half of Northumberland. Beautiful drive to Etal Castle and Scottish border from here. Close to Bamburgh as well. Good breakfasts, and welcoming hosts.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Thank you collegecounselor, it was a pleasure to meet you both and pleased you had a good stay with us. Hope you enjoyed the remainder of your time in the UK and got back home safely. With kind regards Claire and Simon

Family trip and a treat !

Ian S,
Found The post office bb on TA for repeat visit to Northumberland, lovely welcome and very well appointed and comfortable rooms. Nice touches with nespresso and Meade and the offer of homemade ginger cake on arrival from Claire. Very comfortable bed and decent linen. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and quality. A lovely high spec find to which we shall return. Thank you.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: It was a pleasure to meet you all, Ian and thank you for taking the time to write us this very complimentary review and delighted you all enjoyed your stay with us. Lindisfarne Castle re-opens next Spring and the puffins return to the Farne Islands in April so do come up for a longer stay, there is so much to see and do in Northumberland. We look forward to seeing you all again in the near future. With kind regards, Claire and Simon

One Night Stay

Jacob S,
Lovely, accommodating hosts. We stayed one night in a double bed room facing the idilic countryside fields at the back of the house. Food was excellent and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay again.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Thank you, Jacob and delighted you both had a lovely stay with us. We hope you enjoyed the remainder of your brief visit to Northumberland and should you wish to come back to spend more time in the area, do get in touch. With kind regards

An Excellent Overnight Stopover

Richard H, St Ives, United Kingdom
We chose to stay at the Post Office House to break our journey from Cambridge to Oban based upon the reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed and can only give this place 5 stars. The room was very clean and we were greeted with home made ginger cake. Bed was really comfy giving a great nights sleep with one of the nicest breakfasts at a B&B. I thoroughly recommend this place, believe me you will not be disappointed. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. Thank you.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: You are welcome, Richard H. What wonderful compliments, we are very flattered and thank you! We hope you enjoyed your break up in Oban and the weather was kind to you. It was lovely to meet you both, although only briefly but hope you will come back and visit us for a longer stay sometime. With kind regards and best wishes

Excellent stay

Stuart-willerby123, Hull
Just had three nights as the Post Office House which were excellent. Wonderful breakfast which set us up for the day. Excellent location just 10minutes drive from Bamburgh and the coast. Clare and Simon couldn't do enough for us. First class amenities in the room with very comfortable bed.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Firstly, apologies for the delay in replying and secondly, thank you Stuart-willerby123 for leaving us this review. It is always very satisfying to hear that our breakfasts set people up for the day and this was obviously the case for you too! We have had numerous guests say the same, plus compliments about our comfy beds and the facilities we provide. We do try to think of everything so guests are wanting for nothing! We are delighted you had a lovely short break with us in Northumberland and hope to see you both again. Please do pass our best onto Louise :) With best wishes Claire and Simon
